Angles
suggested by Philip

Sharp angles formed by light and shadow are intriguing.
An Andalusian or Greek white-washed village in harsh sunlight. Been there but not with a camera.
Offered here are takes on the hotel we stayed at near Cabos San Lucas - Baha Mexico June '05

Village of Souffriere - Dominica
Sulfur springs and a large area of barren glistening precipitate was up in a culvert behind it. From the small dock in the center, we went out on a small twin engine boat on a whale watch. We did see a baby and mother Sperm whale. Around the point (left side of image) is a rocky beach from which we snorkled Champagne Springs, a hot vent spring in 6-12' (2-4m) of water.

Some of our Backyard Fruit/Edibles
I don't seem to have much luck cultivating a 'normal' garden. Sweet Potatos run wild, pidgeon peas pop up here and there and the tomatos almost ripen. Nematods, all kinds of insects, possums, raccoons, rats, squirrels
Some of what has worked: Pineapple, Tangier/Malanga - Xanthosoma sagitifolia, various bananas, Carambola, Mustard, Myer Lemon, various 'Gingers' , Lemon Grass, Sugar Cane, Miracle Fruit, Coffee
Some that have not yet produced but are growing well: Mango, Longan, Litchi, Eggfruit, Sweetsop, Passionfruit, Sapodilla, Persimmon, Rose Apple
Flowers of 'Ice Cream' banana
'Praying Hands' banana
Spring '05 Sugarcane, Costus, Bananas
Our Carambola
small harvest from our backyard - late winter '05
spicey and delectible flower and leaves
